Presentation

Our project was born in 2011 when a group of students at the Ecole de Commerce europeene had the idea to sail from Bordeaux to Bristol. They took with them very good quality Bordeaux wine that they sold at auction to raise money for a Bordeaux based charity. Being very attached to their home town Bordeaux they wanted to retrace the same routes of the wine merchants did century’s before.

This year we are hoping to re-experience this trip over 10 days in May, we will stop in La Rochelle and Lorient before going onto Bristol. Our team will raise money thanks to auctions for charity. Last year we managed to raise over 3500 euros for the Arc-en-Ciel charity set up by Sophie Marceau who helps make children’s dreams a reality. This year we have chosen to raise money for the charity “Neuf de Coeur” that helps families touched by cerebral dysfunction. The charity was started by Florence Papin, Jean Pierre Papins wife.
